Carers Action Plan Launch and Art Exhibition
The Carers Action Plan, co-produced between colleagues in Camden’s Adult Social Care, unpaid carers and services that support carers, was launched at a themed debate at the full council meeting on Monday 22 July.
The debate was led by Councillor Anna Wright, Camden's Cabinet member for Health, Wellbeing, and Adult Social Care.
During the event, attendees heard from carers in Camden about their lived experiences, aspirations for the Carers Action Plan, and hopes for the future. Alongside the carers, Allegra Lynch, CEO of Camden Carers, an organisation that supports unpaid carers, highlighted the significance of the Carers Action Plan. Additionally, Becca Dove spoke about how Childrens and Learning, and the refresh of the young carers strategy, will connect to the Action Plan.
The full council meeting is available to watch through Camden's webcast page for 12 months. Skip ahead to agenda item 7 of the meeting, to hear the themed debate and speeches from carers.
