Description
New Concept Care & Nursing works to maintain and improve independence by involving service users in the care provision wherever possible - our care workers are there to do the tasks that are difficult. With a little help, an elderly person can then live independently at home, avoiding the need for residential care.
Personal Care
This can be short half hour visits to help at difficult times of the day or a longer package of care anything up to 24 hour care 365 days a year. We can help with:
• mobility
• bathing
• showering
• getting up in the morning and starting the day
• meal preparation and serving
• going to bed at night
Care workers can stay overnight to give peace of mind and security either remaining awake to attend to specific needs or to sleep in the spare bedroom to be there should the need arise. Sometimes a relative may need to have a break. NCCN can provide workers to allow this to happen.
NCCN has staff with specialist in the care of people who have memory impairment and additional nurse support can be given to care workers and relatives as necessary.
Home Help/domestic work
To help with:
• day to day cleaning
• pension collection
• shopping
• laundry or even
• a one off visit to do a thorough spring clean.
Hospital Transport
A care worker can accompany the older person to hospital appointments, providing transport and support whilst visiting the hospital. This takes the worry out of moving from one department to another, understanding what the Doctor has said, collecting prescriptions etc.
Outings
