Description

First Start provides services for people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder who may also present with associated challenging behaviours and other related disorders.

This service operates as a one-to-one service, with programmes individualised to meet the needs of all that access our services.

Our core operational hours are 9.30am-4.00pm. Monday - Friday, 52 weeks a year; our services are closed on Public Bank Holidays.

We provide (at an extra cost), evening support services for adults on the Autism spectrum aged 19+. This includes one to one support to access community services or building based activities. The hours for this are negotiable between 4.00pm - 11.00pm.

First Start can also provide support within the family home for our members to assist them with Personal Care in the mornings to attend their Day Service or to attend one of our out of hours services. Transport can be provided by First Start in extreme cases with an extra cost to and from the day service. This could include a minibus, walking home or public transport and forms part of the on-going Travel Training that First Start provides. If any of our members need to see any healthcare professionals, we are also able to support them by using a range of techniques to attend appointments and during hospital stays. The First Start service has gained full accreditation trough The National Autistic Society.

Our prices range from £105 - £120 per day.
