The Poppy Pod has been created due to overwhelming requests from parents, carers, individuals and professionals who could not find suitable Day Centres for adults with learning disabilities in the area.
Jacqueline Smith, Director has over 20 years experience in the care industry and is the owner of Poppy Cottage Limited. In 2017 Jaqueline, along with her daughters Kayleigh and Talia, embarked on a new adventure in the form of a brand new Day Centre - The Poppy Pod.

The Poppy Pod is a Day Centre which specializes in providing structured day and evening opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. In the day sessions we aim to provide activities which promote independence through developing important life skills and core skills.

The evening Sessions have a more relaxed feel, with fun and enjoyment at the core but still being gently underpinned with exciting development opportunities. The Poppy Pod makes use of the very latest in technology to ensure an inclusive environment, where all peoples needs and abilities are catered for.
