Description
Victoria Lodges philosophy is that every resident is an individual and is treated with the utmost respect, care and dignity. Each resident has a personalised care plan, put together in conjunction with their families and friends, allowing an individualised program of care to be delivered.
A programme of activities within the home is maintained which include a quizzes and trips to the market and Town Centre for shopping and afternoon tea. There is a variety of visiting services for you to enjoy including hairdressers, chiropodists and manicurists. Any book from our own library collection is also available to enjoy at any time. Additionally popular musical entertainers visit the home on a weekly basis. Outside interests, or organised shopping trips and walks with wheelchairs to the local parks etc. are encouraged. All major festivals are also celebrated where family and friends are most welcome to attend.
The policy of the home is that activities and networking support are a part of normal daily living and support for access will be available at all times, enabling the residents to live as fulfilling a life as possible within their capabilities.
Food is an important part of the residents lives. All meals are cooked on the premises from fresh locally sourced products. Menus are planned with the residents preferences and nutritional needs in mind.
Meals are served in the dining to promote a social atmosphere, but can also be served in the residents room, should they request this.
