Description
Brighton Court is a 24 hour supported living service.
The service at Brighton Court is designed for individuals over the age of 18 who have a diagnosed learning disability or autistic spectrum disorder, and additional support needs. Additional support needs may include a mental health diagnosis, challenging behaviour and/or a history of offending behaviour, or a background where forensic services have been required. Individuals need to have a level of daily living skills and a desire to be supported through enablement toward a more independent life.
The building has six one bedroomed self contained flats, three of the flats are based on the ground floor with level access facilities, three are based on the first floor. Each service user holds their tenancy directly with the landlords, Together Housing.
There is a communal lounge and a communal laundry for service users to use.
The building operates a fob system for access to the building and there is CCTV covering the rear communal garden area and car park of the building. Service users have their own front doors to their own flats.
We will work with each service user on putting together a bespoke support plan designed to meet their needs and to work towards their aspirations. The team at Brighton Court have a wealth of experience of working with service users to develop their skills and confidence to be able to move towards further independence.
Places can be allocated by social work teams following an assessment of need.
