Ashley Place is part of Livability - A national Christian disability and community engagement charity consisting of an enabling network of people including volunteers. Our inclusive projects and campaigns, educational resources, modern housing and support services are aimed at removing barriers and focusing on positive personalised outcomes.
Located near the seafront in Bognor Regis, Ashley Place provides beautifully spacious accommodation for working-aged adults, with 16 permanent residents and two additional respite rooms.
The home is specifically designed and adapted for the autonomy of wheelchair users who aspire to pursue a journey towards greater independence, control, confidence, community involvement to be active citizens, maintaining cultural identity and circles of support to make new friends and acquiesce opportunities through employment and further study.
Ashley Place is a fun place to call home with support to achieve your individual outcomes by setting action plans supported by a tailor-made, flexible and consistent support delivery. You choose your circles of support including the support workers who share the same interests, building on your strengths to improve your confidence to learn new skills and maintain abilities. Support is person-centred with assistance to make professional referrals and to identify technology to enhance your independence, mobility, safety, dignity and inclusion.
Staff and residents at Ashley Place have a good rapport with the local community and can identify extra unpaid support to assist you to have a care package that identifies with your personality while resolving ways to remove barriers that can be placed on disabled people by society, via educating the public to the social model of disability rather than the medical one.

• There is full access over two floors with a lift, wide corridors and rooms facilitating 360 degree wheelchair turns.
• Ashley Place has views of the seaside with easy access to the town of Bognor Regis along the seafront.
• Your bedroom decorated to your specifications, has its own ensuite - toilet, sink and wet room shower with your privacy always maintained.
• Other features include a second kitchen on the 1st floor and a bathroom with a hydraulic bath.
• Core staff team have been employed by Livability for over 10 years and there is a good system of training new staff with courses and shadowing shifts until confident.
• Support is focused on Reablement that has led to a client choosing to move to his own flat nearby while still having support from the support workers he was used too.
• The main kitchen is full of modern features to assist you and is adjacent to a huge dinning area and adjoining courtyard garden.
• Skills are created and maintained via meal prep and time given for daily living skills. All skills assessed on capability and revisited to promote progress, individuality, independence and contribution.
• Staff fully trained to manage continence equipment, feeding systems, swallowing issues and to complete health charts.
• Support to access outside agencies, make referrals, maintain a Health Action Plan and where applicable self-medicate.
• You can feel confident that the support you will receive is from staff trained and knowledgeable to your medical and communication needs; staff Makaton trained.
• All your documentation is available in easy-read and/or other choice of formats; co-produced with you and signed off by you.
• Your opinion is important to us and complaints are welcomed to improve service delivery.
• Risk management is responsive to your need for greater independence and life experience, and updated regularly with you.
• Ashley Place is a 24 hour service with waking night support.

Price:
Residential core price is £885.00 per week, to include up to 4 hours support per day; should assessment identify additional hours required, these are charged at £12.50 per hour.
