My name is Julie and I am an Professional Independent Funeral Celebrant. (Not a minister)

Being a qualified professional independent funeral celebrant was something I felt very passionate about.. I had previously attended a fair amount of funerals (including my own partner) where very little was said about the person who had actually passed away. In fact some I attended did not even get the name right! Thus I have taken on the celebrant role to provide a very personal bespoke funeral for bereaved families. Whether the family want religious, a little religious, spiritual elements or non religious, everyone can have the funeral of their choice.

I am pleased to be able to offer and deliver a personally written dignified service exactly as you would like, representing the life of the deceased, expressed through your choice of tribute, music, poems, readings and pictures.

I meet with the family to discuss and create together a service, tailored for the life of the person who has died. Funerals can feel positive and uplifting because they focus on the life of the person who has died and what made them special and unique. Whatever is right to mark the passing of your loved one we will work together to provide.

Family and Friends are encouraged to take part if they would like to do so. I can provide help to those who may be worried or nervous about doing this.

These individual life centred funeral ceremonies are for those who want something personal and meaningful.
