Ivy Cottage was registered as a care home for adults with learning disabilities in October 2000 it provides care and support to 10 individuals and is of a mixed occupancy.

Ivy Cottage is an attractive traditional two-storey property of rendered stone construction which has been substantially extended. On the first floor there are 10 furnished bedrooms all having wash facilities, there are 2 shower rooms and a bathroom, and there are 4 WC On the ground floor there is a large equipped kitchen, large lounge area with a conservatory extension, a dining area and an activities room, there are also 3 WC There is a small garden to the front of the home and a large private garden to the rear of the home which has a seating area there is a drive to the rear of the home for off road parking.

Ivy Cottage delivers care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and who may also have a history of mental health problems. The home is staffed 24 hours a day by a highly trained, motivated staff team who are managed by a service manager and a assistant manager A person centred approach ensures the individual’s wishes and needs are met and they remain in control of how they choose to live their lives, the PCP team supports the individuals in achieving this whilst ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the individual is maintained.

Individuals whom reside at Ivy Cottage are actively involved within the recruitment of all staff employed within their home the individuals are also involved within the internal inspections and the organisations quality assurance process.
