Although we know caring for a loved one can be an enjoyable, rewarding experience, at times it gets tiring and a rest is great for both of you. Respite Care (short care breaks with 24-hour care) is a great way for you to recharge your batteries whilst acknowledging and knowing that your companion is in great hands and having the peace of mind that everything can be taken care of for you.

We are on Barnsley’s Assessed list of services to help people live an ordinary life; be socially included and be able to participate in their community.

Respite care offers an excellent around-the-clock service in a safe, relaxing environment for the service user for as long as you need, whether that’s just a few days or as long as you feel. If you are a carer, you may want to take a break, be planning a holiday, need additional support or you may even be considering moving your loved one to a permanent home and would like to try out having them in respite care before doing so.

We will look after your every need, giving you an amazing choice in your care and getting to know many things, such as:
• Personal routines or hobbies
• The service user’s interests and preferred activities
• Likes & dislikes
• Any dietary needs
• How they would like to be treated by the staff on a day-to-day basis
• Their usual sleeping pattern
• Any other needs, as complex or as simple as they may be!
