Description
SUGGEST is a registered charity which provides a bespoke service to disabled individuals who choose their own care support needs. As personal budgets grow and develop, more and more people who want to have control over their support but who simply feel that they cannot cope with the often demanding responsibilities that go along with this are asking for help.
• Monthly calculation of wages and deductions according to employer’s requirements
• Wage slips and timesheets sent to employer, by post or email
• Monthly and quarterly reports calculated in accordance with HMRC Real Time Information
• Act as agent with HM Revenue & Customs and deal with payroll related correspondence
• Payroll related correspondence and calculations with other agencies – for example Child Support Agency, HM Courts Service, Work & Pensions
• Assistance with completion of audit / accounts paperwork for the local authority
• Audit / Accounts related correspondence & phone calls as necessary
• Assistance with completion of a basic employment contract
• Assistance with completion of a standard home risk assessment
• Care support funds held on behalf of individual
• All relevant wages and invoices paid on individual’s behalf
• Quarterly reports prepared and issued as per local authority requirements
• Liaise with other professionals involved in support planning when necessary
• Assistance with recruitment of care staff including interviews, job descriptions, DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service payment extra), reference checks, full home employee/employer induction and risk management training
• Act as intermediary with staff on behalf of the employer, organise supervisions, appraisals, team meetings and continued training of care staff as required. (home and online)
• Act as intermediary in staff matters, including disciplinaries and grievances
• Assistance with agency contracts and act as intermediary in the event of disputes or disagreements
• Regular contact visits & on-going support for both employer and PA’s as necessary.
