All of the team at The Burroughs care home take pride in giving residents the best, tailored care. We take a person-centred approach to what we do: giving each resident choices about their care and encouraging them to get involved in decision-making. We’re always keen to hear their ideas about how we can make life even better here.

We get to know each resident well, then we create a care plan unique to them. We treat each person like they’re one of the family – and their families become our friends. Many of us know what it’s like to have a loved one move into a care home, so we do everything we can to support them, and they’re welcome any time, day or night.

The Burroughs care team includes specialists trained in caring for people with dementia. They undertake experiential training, developed by our own in-house experts, which enables them to fully appreciate the daily challenges experienced by our residents with dementia. Many of the team who have had this training see it as a turning point, finding that they care for these residents with even greater empathy having done the training.
