What we provide
Guide Dog Service - We train and provide guide dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life.

There is no age limit to apply for a guide dog. You also don’t need to have lost all your sight, most people who own a guide dog still have some vision. You don’t have to be officially registered as blind or partially-sighted either.

Buddy Dogs - At Guide Dogs we believe that a dog can make a remarkable difference in any child’s life by fostering a sense of responsibility and companionship through the human/animal bond. We matched specially selected dogs and places them within a school, organisation or family environment for the benefit of blind or partially sighted children and young people.

Children and Young People Services - Guide Dogs provides mobility services for children and young people who are blind or partially sighted, to support them in getting out and about, and to help them gain confidence and independence. We provide these services under contract to local authorities.

My Guideaims to reduce the isolation that many people with sight loss experience, helping to rebuild their confidence and regain their independence.

The aim of helping more blind and partially sighted people get out and about on their own terms.

My Guide is designed around the development of a national standard of teaching sighted guiding techniques and involving volunteers and the community to assist visually impaired people build their confidence, involve their network of support and the community at large to actively solve their mobility barriers. The service matches a volunteer with a service user with a VI for roughly 3-6 months.
