Our Community Hubs
Leading Lives offers daytime support, for adults with multiple and complex needs, at our building based Community Hubs across Suffolk.

They offer a range of activities and learning opportunities, available on a full day, half day or sessional basis.

Activities and Opportunities can be accessed in house and through the local community.

Our Hubs are a place where people can feel safe, make and meet friends and experience new things.

When Newmarket is open?
Newmarket Hub is Open:
Mondays to Fridays 9.00am till 4.00pm

What Newmarket has to offer?
Known as the racing capital, Newmarket community unit is situated within the old courts just a short walk from the town centre. The unit has a large kitchen, where food preparation occurs and where customers can also get involved in fun cooking or healthy eating courses.

There are two other activity rooms, where customers can get involved in our variety of in-house activities, such as our tutor led "funky art" session or special themed events of people’s choice. We recently had a Turkish day with belly dancing and delicious food. We have a local allotment where we grow herbs, vegetables and flowers and have picnics and/or BBQs on sunny days. There is also a sensory room which can be used by customers or booked by other members of the community. We are a short walk from the local library and sports centre and enjoy accessing the big splash every Tuesday for a fun swimming session. We have positive links with the local community and enjoy working with the local Tesco’s for fund raising that we then put towards day trips out, such as the seaside, zoo and theatre.

Leading Lives staff work in person centred ways to support and promote people to achieve their aspirations and remain as independent as they are able.

Support needs are assessed when you register with the service and individual packages and programmes agreed to best suit your needs and aspirations.
