Description
Family & Social Relationships
The ability to develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships is essential to one’s self-esteem and sense of belonging. Being able to understand, accept and cope with challenging or complex relationships is similarly important and can be particularly difficult for some people if they have led unsettled lives.
The units in this section help you to explore your needs and expectations within family and social relationships. Through guidance, support and discussion they can consider their feelings towards important people in their lives, look at when a relationship can have a negative impact on one’s life, develop strategies for coping with loss or feelings of rejection.
