This film is about personal safety. Safety First will help you to think about how you can be safe. Being safe means looking out for dangers when you are out and about, in the home, at work and when you are having fun. In this film we show you lots of people doing things that are not safe. When somebody does something in the film that is not safe a red triangle will show up at the bottom of the screen and an alarm will sound. Speakup has also made a film called Bully Off which will help you, if you are being bullied, to tell someone you trust.

This accessible and clear DVD has been produced by Speakup, a Charity which is celebrating 25 years of working with disabled people. The DVD has been produced by professionals working in partnership with disabled people. The DVD can be used to support disabled people, people who find written language difficult, older people and particularly people with learning disabilities and/or autism. It can be used in one to one, group work or by individuals to inform about important lifeskills, to overcome communication barriers or as a tool to encourage discussion and debate.
