Description
Technology to keep you safe at home.
Our most popular item is the Carephone unit which includes a press button pendant to call for help when needed. The unit automatically calls the Carephone control centre when the button is pressed and staff are available to respond 24 hours a day.
Our staff will talk to you via your Carephone and give you advice, contact your friends and relatives in an emergency, or simply provide you with reassurance. If you need urgent assistance and friends or relatives are unavailable the Mobile Response Service will visit you or if appropriate we will contact the emergency services on your behalf.
When you need urgent assistance or help in an emergency our staff will get you the help you need:
• Quickly, simply and easily
• At the touch of a button
• From anywhere in your home
• Anytime day or night - when you need us
A wide range of technology.
In addition we have sensors which wirelessly link to the Carephone unit and automatically contact the control centre or a carer so they can get you help . These include:
• Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors that alert us if they detect a fire or carbon monoxide in your home
• Fall detectors that tell us when you have fallen at home
• Flood detectors that warn us about leaking water or taps left running
• Gas detectors that alert us if you have left the gas on
• Property exit sensors that contact us if you leave your home at certain times potentially putting you at risk
• Bed or chair sensors that raise an alert if you get out of your bed or chair and need help
• Epilepsy sensors that raise an alarm if you have a seizure during the night
• Medication reminders / dispensers helping you to remember to take your tablets
• Movement sensors with voice playback to remind you to do everyday tasks
• GPS location / safer walking devices that can help to find you if you regularly get lost and are put at risk
