Accommodation
• Most of the residential care rooms are on the ground floor, some with direct access to the garden
• The rooms are fully central heated
• Telephone and television points are fitted in each room
• A lift is available to the 3 first floor rooms
• Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal possessions after consultation with the Care Manager
• All rooms have vanity unit, basin & small fridge
• Majority of the rooms are en suite and we have an ongoing development programme to expand en suite facilities

The friendly, well-qualified staff provide a caring and secure environment 24 hours a day. Our aim is to offer whatever help is required while still encouraging the residents’ independence.

Activities & Home Life
• Regular outings. Transport is provided by volunteers and committee members
• Residents are encouraged to take part in the many activities in the village e.g. WI, church events
• Relatives and friends are encouraged to become part of the ‘house environment’
• Our Residential Care Home maintains links with the local community and churches
• Birthday celebrations and other events
• Residents are encouraged to use the extensive private gardens made easier by level paths and patios
• Arm chair exercises weekly. Wii sports resort games with assistance. Plus bingo & card games
• Art and Craft sessions
• Various talks

Our Abbeyfield residential care home Buckinghamshire has now formed a supporters group, the Friends of Stonehill House (FOSH) working along side the management committee to help with fund raising & social activities.
