At Birch Tree, fun and enjoyment are equally as important as developing new skills and we achieve this by offering a diverse range of activities.
We offer a tailored programme to suit individual needs and take into account strengths, needs, wants and aspirations.
Our 3 packages are built around our personalised assessment and the level of support required. We promote each individual as a valued and active member of the community.
We offer provision for 16 years old and over and are based in Edgerton, Huddersfield.
We receive referrals from:
• Adults & Communities, as well as Health Professionals and GP's
• Private (Fee paying) customers
• Adults who receive Direct Payments, Individual Budgets or Independent Living Funds
Maple Package - from £55.00 per day
Small group sessions based on higher support needs

• Exploring life’s opportunities
• Workshop – printing, sign making, woodwork
• Healthy living, gentle exercise, healthy eating, hygiene
• Art & craft
• Basic food preparation skills
• Health and beauty

• Drama
• Film club
• Multisensory story telling
• Music
• Gardening
• News & views, producing centre magazine
• Pottery
• Sewing
• Selaxation
• Relationship building
• Countryside walks, sports, visiting museums, libraries and galleries, fundraising, exploring my community
• Shopping and budgeting
• Recycling and nature and conservation
• Basic computer skills
• Communication
• Literacy/reading club
• Maths, money skills and numbers
• Personal safety
• Making choices, em-ployability skills, travel training and volunteering
All packages include
Light breakfast, mid morning refreshments & afternoon tea
Most centre based activities.
Lunches are charged at £3.00 per day but packed lunches can be brought if preferred.
Some occasional trips out such as bowling, will incur an extra charge.
