St Wilfrids is a day service for vulnerable people who may suffer mental health problems or learning difficulties. In providing welfare services and a raft of educational activities including a skills workshop, we hope to help people overcome barriers of social exclusion and provide them with the opportunity to improve their quality of life. Clients come from throughout Sheffield. We welcome all people, regardless of creed, culture or race and can assure you of a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Photography - Out and About
Come and join us every Monday afternoon onboard the minibus to visit places of beauty and interest in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. If the weather allows, up to 14 happy-snappers climb onboard, gather a few light refreshments and take to the road!
We provide Fuji and Cannon Digital Cameras and all the help you need to take lots and lots of snaps of your favourite places and scenes. You are always welcome to join the group, try some gentle walking, lots of talking and ample time to take some amazing pictures.
We always make time to review your work by gathering in the Blue Room and displaying our shots using the projector. Together we discuss and suggest ways for improving our results and for sharing tips that get the most from our digital cameras. We also provide you with CD copies of your work to take home and share with your family and friends. Twice or three times a year, the whole group get together to choose the photos we like most, and the best of these are printed onto canvass for everyone to enjoy.
So, if you’ve ever wanted to make the most of your camera and visit local visitor attractions, come and join us as we leave the Centre on Mondays at 1.30 pm.
Availability & Pricing Information
Our costs for those eligible for Self Directed Support are £45.00 a full day and £30.00 for a half day session. This activity is run Mondays at 1.30pm.
