Description

We are providing free, non-clinical advice and support to anyone over the age of 50, who has been affected by cancer. People who access this service may have a cancer diagnosis themselves, they may care for someone who has had a diagnosis, or they may be a relative or friend.

Highly experienced Age UK Sheffield staff provide the support, which ranges from simple signposting through to in-depth support, working alongside people who use the service for as long as it takes to link them to the resources they need to live independent, socially connected lives.

The service helps people deal with problems as diverse as impractical housing, aids and adaptations, social isolation or lack of confidence. Service users can come to us, or we can go to them. In short, the service is a single point of access to survivorship.

This is a free service. For further information please submit an information request outlining your requirements and we will contact you.
