A day looking at the subject of social care budgets with Imagineer Development will be the key you need to fully appreciate how an individual can access social care funding and other sources of funding, what options are available to them and how the budget they are eligible for can be used and managed. Learning Outcomes
• To have a clear understanding of the difference between a personal budget, individual budget, direct payment and traditional service provision
• To know what part the assessment has in identifying an individual’s eligibility
• We will introduce you to strategies for working through the social care system from referral to support provision and to know when to switch the focus from thinking about needs to thinking about the persons aspirations, interests and community
• You will leave with an understanding of what is needed in a support plan and how to approach completing a support plan to capture what an individual wants to achieve
• You will have a comprehensive understanding of how a budget can be managed and the options available to an individual
• We will introduce you to a basic accounting technique for those people interested in managing their own budget
