Description

Fairford Court is a purpose built residential service situated in Friern Barnet to support adults with High Functioning Autism or Aspergers Syndrome. Staff aim to maximises a person’s independence in a warm friendly environment. They support individuals to meet their aims and aspirations with a strong emphasis on community integration and progressing onto independent living when appropriate.  

Support

Our dedicated and experienced staff go above and beyond to help the people they support to reach their full potential. Our staff aim to help individuals understand their Autism better, develop coping strategies to overcome their anxieties and help them develop independent living skills and social awareness skills so they can live successfully in the community 

Spectrum Star 

The people we support have work through the Spectrum Star with a keyworker identifying areas of ability and difficulties.  The Therapeutic team and the individual then use the Star to develop a person centred support plan that meets their actual needs.  The Star is reviewed every 6 months (recommended) to see how the person is progressing in the 9 key areas.  We have found that they are proud to take their Star to their CPA to demonstrate how they are progressing and to prove that they are achieving something.

Clinical 

Our service is led by an experienced and a diverse group of clinicians, therapists, support workers and manager, who all work holistically together to provide person centred care. Specialist clinical support underpins this service, offering individuals a consistent approach, encouraging people to maximise their potential in an environment that accommodates their needs. 

Location 

Fairford Court is in a bustling part of north London. The home is close to a variety of local shops, leisure facilities and many individuals attend the local mainstream and special needs colleges. It is highly suitable for people who wish to increase social interaction and reintegrate themselves into the community.

Accommodation

Fairford Court is a large modern property. On the first floor there is a communal lounge, kitchen and dining area, and four bedrooms. The top floor has four bedrooms and a laundry room. All bedrooms are en-suite with wet rooms.
