Do you want to quit smoking, but feel frustrated at not being able to kick the habit? Smoking, like any ingrained habit, is programmed in the subconscious, which is why will-power alone usually fails. Hypnotherapy provides a way of gently accessing the subconscious and reprogramming unwanted habits.
A typical session is divided into three parts.
In the first part I will ask you a series of carefully selected questions to elicit information about your habit and your motivation to quit.
In the second part I will guide you into a controlled state of calm relaxation and focus, and then take you through a number of techniques to bring up the old habit and reprogram it. You will also be given a coping mechanism to deal with any of the old triggers to smoke and stay in control.
In the third part we will review the session and you have the option to make a plan for a follow-up session as a reinforcement.
Where does it take place? These are in-person sessions at your home or workplace. Online sessions available if you have a computer.
