To help you remain independent in your own home, we offer a quality cleaning plus service delivered by our fully trained staff employed by Age UK Rotherham.

Age UK Rotherham Cleaning Plus is part of our package of Home Maintenance Services offering practical support around the home for older people who need a little extra help to do the things they cannot manage any more, so that they can keep their home just how they like it.

We call the service Cleaning Plus because it is aimed specifically at the needs of older people in Rotherham and offers more than just a basic cleaning service offered by other cleaning companies.

The Extra things that make up this PLUS include:

• Making the service individual and tailored to you and your needs. Our service includes an assessment of what you need from this service and regular reviews that mean that the service we offer you can change if your needs change;
• Our well trained and vetted staff are employed because of their commitment to the health and wellbeing of older people. Our staff genuinely care for the welfare and safety of older people and will not assume all is well if the door is not answered to them at a scheduled call. They will always follow up with family contacts and/or other agencies to make sure the service user is safe and well;
• Flexible helpful support from our office based staff so that you always have someone to talk to if you have any concerns or questions about the service you are getting or need to change;
• Access to other services and support offered by Age UK Rotherham. For example free advice and information, support with welfare benefits.

The service is tailored to you and can include essential tasks such as cleaning, laundry ,ironing, internal window cleaning, sorting cupboards.

We generally find that the two hour service is most suited to people's requirements but additional hours can be included and are available at this discounted rate compared to the standard one hour service.

We will agree the frequency of visits, these can be  weekly, fortnightly or monthly, or more frequently if required. Subject to availability in your area, available Monday to Friday.
