Bonza care has experience and expertise in providing person centred support to Service Users. When supporting people with challenging needs, restrictive interventions are only used as a last resort and when it is legal and ethical to do so; identifying the need to make an application for Deprivation of Liberty (DoLS) should an individual be restricted from leaving the home independently, lack the capacity to consent to their support or be restricted in other ways, to ensure that their best interests are appropriately considered.

We respond appropriately to signs of possible abuse or exploitation in their day to day operation. - We ensure that robust procedures are in place for responding to suspicion or evidence of abuse or neglect to ensure the safety and protection of tenants and staff.

Bonza care ensures that:
a) Service Users are supported by trained and experienced staff who can competently meet their needs
b) We have a Staff development and training programme within our organisation. The plan is reviewed regularly to ensure that Staff are able to fulfil the aims of Bonza care and meet the changing needs of tenants
c) We have a structured induction process, to be completed by all new Staff that meets the national minimum standards
d) Staff have access to bespoke Service User related training e.g. health conditions, working with people with challenging needs, forensic history, autism, sensory impairment etc. Staff are encouraged to take part in continuous professional development and, as such, individual training records are to be maintained.

Bonza care ensures:
a) Staff have the appropriate experience, training, skills and support to meet the needs of the Service User they are working with, for profound and / or severe disabilities, memory difficulties (including dementia), term health conditions, disabilities, behaviour that challenges, stance misuse needs, members of their local community
b) Staff understand and deliver outcomes in accordance with Service User care and support plans.
